Overview

This barn conversion set out to strike a careful balance between preservation and progress. Rather than treating the building's age as an obstacle, the project was shaped around its history — retaining the oak frame, original textures and agricultural character that make the barn unique, while introducing the structural care and contemporary design needed for modern living. The result is a home that feels both authentically rooted in its farmstead origins and quietly reimagined for the way it's used today.

Conservation Led

Every decision on this project was guided by one principle: honour the barn's history while giving it a future.

    Structural Craftsmanship

    Careful structural repairs to the historic oak frame allowed the Listed barn to be preserved, protecting its original character while giving the building a new purpose.

    Existing beams, textures and agricultural features were retained and celebrated, creating a unique home that reflects the history of the farmstead.
